“You’re going to make some really horrible work, in the process of getting to make the work that you want to make.  But it’s okay to make that horrible work: In fact, you should definitely make it.”  Julia Pott is an English animator and illustrator who’s had great success in penetrating a very competitive illustration market.  Among some of her clients have been, Toyota (a commercial via Saachi and Saachi), Skins, (a music video for the band), and The Decembrists (a music video for the band), among others.

Have a watch at Pott (via IdeasTap, above) describe her creative process and how going back to school and going through the Masters Program at the Royal College of Art, has helped her structure her creative process.  Plus, have a watch at her latest short film trailer (below) called, Belly.  Julia Pott’s illustrations are also sold via her Etsy store, HERE.  To learn and see more of Pott’s work visit: www.juliapott.com.
