Native Son, a snazzy and technically savvy brand of men’s suit released an art film by Isaac Rentz (an American Japanese born music/art videographer) during its launch of fall/winter 2011 collection this past New York Fashion week.  The short film, The Track, The Train, The Traveler showcases three men: the carpenter, the artist, and the filmmaker–all wearing sharp Native Son suits (from the f/w 11 season) while being filmed for a total of 36 hours in a sealed crude room, encompassing only about 10-16 feet of space, and left with just some raw materials and some paint to entertain with.

The film is compelling and beautifully captured in sharp HD.  What’s more: unlike other fashion films, Issac Rentz is able to create a feeling of certain artistic principles –using contrast, emphasis, as well as patterns and proportion to connect the three stories as a unit.

Again, although, fashion films have popped-up as one of the latest fashion fads as of lately, usually they are nothing but images flashing–with the brand and the clothing designs taking center stage, rather than playing the role as the stylish accent to the picture--the The Track, The Train, The Traveler does not falter under this fashion cliché.  Have a watch in its entirety below, and see for yourself.
