Testing Google Earth on the iPad: when watching this video, one can get a real sense of what it’s like to literally own the power to manipulate the latest portable computer with your fingers and figuratively have the world at the palm of your hands.

Thank you iPad (Steve Jobs and Co.) for making this possible. We here at the newsgallery think Galileo Galilei can now lay soundly in his death tomb–knowing how far we’ve evolved since he willingly announced to the world that the earth is round.  Indeed, it was certainly worth it to go against the teachings of the church (who advocated that the earth was the center of the universe)–if not just to witness how far we can go when a Google and an Apple play nice together.
