New York Giants co-owner Steve Tisch has been named in the latest batch of documents released by the Department of Justice related to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. Tisch's name appears at least 440 times among more than 3 million pages of records made public Friday, marking a significant development in the ongoing disclosure of materials connected to Epstein's crimes.

The documents show email exchanges between Tisch and Epstein, primarily from 2013, in which the financier appears to have connected the Giants executive with multiple women. The emails include personal details about the women, including their nationalities, appearances, and backgrounds. Some exchanges show Epstein describing women as either "pro or civilian" or a "working girl."

Tisch, 76, is the chairman, co-owner, and vice president of the Giants and has produced numerous Hollywood films, including "Forrest Gump" and "Risky Business." His family owns approximately 45 percent of the football team, which he has been involved with since 2005.

Background

Jeffrey Epstein, a former financier at Bear Stearns, operated a network of connections with politicians, celebrities, and business executives for decades. He purchased a 72-acre island called Little St. James in the U.S. Virgin Islands in 1998 for just under 8 million dollars. Federal authorities later determined that Epstein used the island as a base for sex trafficking operations.

Epstein died by suicide in a federal jail cell in August 2019 while awaiting trial on sex trafficking charges. His associate, Ghislaine Maxwell, was convicted of related crimes and is currently serving a 20-year prison sentence in Texas.

The latest document release comes under the Epstein Files Transparency Act, which was enacted following months of public and political pressure. The law requires the government to open its investigative files on Epstein and Maxwell to the public. The Department of Justice released the materials Friday after missing a December 19 deadline set by the legislation.

Key Details

The emails between Tisch and Epstein span several months in 2013 and show a pattern of communication about women and social events. In one April 2013 email, Epstein appears to be arranging an introduction between Tisch and a woman named Katya. The woman responded to Epstein, saying she had researched Tisch online and was interested in meeting him because of his status as an Oscar-winning producer and Giants owner.

In May 2013, while Tisch was attending NFL meetings, Epstein suggested arranging a meeting with a woman he identified as Russian. Tisch responded within minutes, asking if she was "fun." The exchanges continued that afternoon.

Another email from June 2013 shows Epstein providing details about a microbiology student in Florida who was interested in meeting Tisch. Epstein advised Tisch to "make it clear that you will organize her ticket."

In September 2013, Tisch offered Epstein two tickets to his suite for a Giants game and invited him to attend other games during the season. Epstein responded by inviting Tisch to visit him at his private island in the Caribbean, though the emails do not indicate whether Tisch accepted the invitation.

Tisch's Response

We had a brief association where we exchanged emails about adult women, and in addition, we discussed movies, philanthropy, and investments. I did not take him up on any of his invitations and never went to his island. As we all know now, he was a terrible person and someone I deeply regret associating with.

Tisch released this statement through the Giants organization in response to the document release. He emphasized that he never traveled to Epstein's island and that his communications with Epstein covered multiple topics beyond the introduction to women.

The Department of Justice noted that a person's inclusion in the released documents does not by itself indicate criminal conduct. Tisch has not been charged with any wrongdoing.

What This Means

The release of these documents continues a broader pattern of disclosure about Epstein's extensive network of powerful contacts. The latest batch includes more than 2,000 videos and 180,000 images alongside the 3 million pages of documents. Other prominent figures have also appeared in the files, including Washington Commanders owner Josh Harris, though his correspondence was conducted through assistants and focused on business matters rather than personal introductions.

The documents provide a detailed look at how Epstein operated within elite circles, using his connections and resources to help introductions and social arrangements. The emails show a systematic approach to identifying and connecting women with wealthy and influential men.

For Tisch and the Giants organization, the revelation adds another layer of scrutiny to the team's leadership. While Tisch maintains that his association with Epstein was brief and that he rejected the financier's invitations, the documents show a more sustained pattern of communication and coordination than might have been previously understood.

The continued release of Epstein-related materials is expected to reveal more connections between the financier and other prominent figures. The transparency effort represents an attempt to document the full scope of Epstein's influence and the extent of his interactions with powerful people across business, politics, and entertainment.
